Space Pirate Captain Harlock Teaser Trailer

Toei Animation has announced that the release date for the 3D feature film adaptation of of Leiji Matsumoto’s 1977-79 Captain Harlock manga will be some time in the autumn. Accompanying this announcement was a new trailer. 

The project is going under the title Space Pirate Captain Harlock and it is directed by Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed). Harutoshi Fukui, the writer of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novels, is adapting the saga for the screen. Atsushi Takeuchi (mecha designer on Appleseed) is also involved.
