AUKN received news that preparations for <a href="http://www.sunnycon.co.uk/index.php">SunnyCon 2013</a> are already underway. SunnyCon, the anime and Japanese culture convention held in Sunderland, originally launched <a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/news/2674/new-anime-convention-in-sunderland">earlier this year</a> and it attracted over 900 visitors. The organisers are thinking bigger for 2013 and are moving to a new venue in the Seaburn Centre and the dates set for March 23rd-24th 2013. Organisers state:

<em> For 2013 SunnyCon have done it again already announcing world famous anime voice actor Vic Mignogna and international cosplay superstar Ginny McQueen. Vic is probably the most well-known voice actor in the world famous with many main roles in major anime show</em><em>s not forgetting his work on games and his musical career. Ginny is a world famous cosplayer with a huge fan base with over 25000 followers on Facebook alone. More guests and events are due to be announced leading up to the event but a huge part of any anime convention is the cosplay part and SunnyCon has announced that they will be offering up an unbelievable £2000 prize for the winner in 2013, the biggest cash amount for a cosplay contest in Europe this will attract the countries best cosplayers.  </em>

Under 13’s £10,

Over 13’s general entry £25

VIP tickets £30.

Tickets for Under 13’s and over 13’s are general entry and permit entry to the weekend full of events but VIP gets you in 1 hour early, a free t-shirt, entry into a draw for a prize pack and half priced entry into the evening event.
