Scotland Loves Anime 2014 Details Announced

It’s getting near that time of year again – when the Scotland Loves Anime festival kicks off in you guessed it, Scotland, in October. Starting off in the Glasgow Film Theatre between 10-12th October, the festival will then move to Edinburgh’s Filmhouse between 13-19th October.

Listings have emerged online for the Glasgow leg of the festival, which also confirms that Mizuho Nishikubo, the director of Giovanni’s Island will be present at the Glasgow screening of the movie to take part in a Q&A session. The Edinburgh event though, will have BONES Inc President Masahiko Minami (who will also be doing a special Q&A at Edinburgh) and Jonathan Clements as guests.

Friday 10th October:

Ghost in the Shell (Mamoru Oshii, 1995), 11:00.

Saturday 11th October:

K: Missing Kings (2014), 13:45.

Appleseed Alpha (Shinji Aramaki, 2014), 15:40.

Wings of Honneamise (Hiroyuki Yamaga, 1987), 18:00.

Sunday 12th October:

Lupin III vs Detective Conan (Hajime Kamegaki, 2013), 12:30.

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate (Fuminori Kizaki, 2013), 15:00.

Giovanni’s Island (Mizuho Nishikubo, 2014), 17:30.

Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods (Masahiro Hosoda, 2013), 20:15.

Edinburgh:

Times and specific dates have yet to be confirmed, but the films have been announced as:
