Anime Limited Confirms Space Dandy Release Details

On 24th November, Anime Limited will be releasing the dandyest of recent anime in the United Kingdom. Premiering simultaneously in Japan and North America this year, Shinichiro Watanabe’s comedy about a dandy guy in space, which was aptly titled Space Dandy. For a while now, we have known that Anime Limited have been planning to release the series in the United Kingdom and today, after receiving approval from Bandai, they have finally been able to confirm the details of their forthcoming release:

Space Dandy’s first season will be available in a Collector’s Edition form on both DVD and blu-ray from 24th November. This release will include all 13 episodes of the first season, in English, Japanese and French (all 2.0), as well as a 200 page art booklet featuring design works from the series:

Alternatively, the series will also be available as a standard edition blu-ray from 12th January. However, due to being unable to have the Collector’s Edition copies ready in time for next month’s MCM London Comic Con, which has Shinichiro Watanabe as a special guest,, the standard release will be available to purchase in limited quantities. This standard edition includes all episodes of the first season in an amaray case:

The Collector’s Edition blu-ray can currently be pre-ordered from Amazon for £50.50, while the DVD version is currently listed at £36. Pre-orders for the standard edition blu-ray are expected to open shortly. The on-disc extras for all releases are clean opening and closing themes, as well as a digital artwork gallery.
