Nisekoi and To Love Ru Darkness Season 2 Details Confirmed

After the positive reception to this year’s anime adaptation of Noashi Komi’s romantic comedy manga Nisekoi, it wasn’t long before Aniplex had green-lit a second series based on the Weekly Shonen Jump manga. At the moment, the Japanese “JUMP Festa” is in its second day and has kicked off with some news regarding the upcoming sequel series.

Slated to begin in April 2015, the second season of Nisekoi introduces Haru Onodera, the younger sister of series regular Kosaki Onodera who joins Bonyari High School as a first year. In the anime adaptation, Haru Onodera will be voiced by twenty-year old Ayane Sakura (Vividred Operation‘s Akane Isshiki).

The first season of Nisekoi aired between January and May of this year and is being released in the United States by Aniplex of America. A home video release in the United Kingdom has yet to be announced.

A stage event for Xebec’s adaptation of Saki Hasemi and Kentaro Yabuki’s To Love Ru Darkness also confirmed that the JUMP Square series will be returning to television screens with To Love Ru Darkness 2nd, the fourth anime adaptation of the racy harem comedy manga following on from 2012’s To Love Ru Darkness. Sentai Filmworks have released the three previous seasons in the United States but a release in the United Kingdom has yet to be confirmed, although Anime On Demand did simulcast To Love Ru Darkness as it aired in Japan.
