The second part of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is a rollercoaster ride into hell, filled with intense action sequences and tender moments with its strong, tight-knit cast of characters. While it may lack the finesse of the first part’s drama and plot development, this is overall one of the strongest entries in the Gundam franchise.

While this first half of Iron-Blooded Orphans does have its flaws, Mari Okada and Tatsuyuki Nagai's unique and distinct take on the Gundam franchise emerges as extremely dark, profusely political, and brutally bloody.
