Seven Seas kill release of borderline lolicon manga Nymphet

According to ICv2, US manga publishers “Seven Seas” have decided to pull their much debated release of “Nymphet“. The controversy surrounding the title is due to it’s rather questionable content, which revolves around a “mischievous young girl who tries to sexually entrap her teacher“.

Originally Seven Seas planned to roll out a shrink-wrapped nation-wide release of Nymphet, but after considering the level of critisism aimed at the title; including a particularly strong attack by Anime News Network’s “Answerman” (“I can’t possibly endorse this release – the whole concept makes my flesh crawl“) – Seven Seas have decided to kill the release altogether.

A full statement from Jason DeAngelis, President of Seven Seas, can be read at ICv2.
