Akira clips appear on Discovery Channel

UK Digital TV channel ‘Discovery Science‘ have scheduled a one-hour show called ‘Top Ten Comic Book Heroes’ for broadcast on Saturday 27th November at 11pm. Interestingly, the adverts running for this program feature several clips from the famous anime Akira.

The show is described by the official Discovery Science website as “…a look at the most popular comic and graphic novel characters and the roles they have played in shaping the social landscape of the last century.” Be sure to tune in and see how Japanese manga fares in the list!
