MTV license hip-hop anime? • Anime UK News

MTV have licensed the anime movie adaptation of Santa Inoue’s Tokyo Tribes, according to reports in the Anime Insider magazine. It’s unknown if they will theatrically release the movie or just premiere it on their uber-popular TV network.

Inoue has said that he wants Dr. Dre to work on the movie’s soundtrack and given the MTV connection, we wouldn’t be suprised.
