Steamboy UK DVD release date

According to news reported by UK Anime, Columbia Tristar have set Steamboy with a UK DVD release date of 6th June (we assume there are no plans for a limited UK theatrical release). The DVD extras are said to include an interview with director Katsuhiro Ôtomo, production sketches and a ‘multi-screen landscape study’.

Steamboy is the latest anime movie from Akira director Katsuhiro Ôtomo. Interestingly, the story is set in Victorian England and has secured the voices of several high profile British actors for the English language dub (Patrick Stewart and Alfred Molina).
