Sakura Diaries and BBFC news

According to Eye on Anime, ADV UK has plans to release the romantic (12-episode) series Sakura Diaries as a 2-disc “DVD collection” this summer. Also worth noting is that this release will be the edited for TV version of Sakura Diaries (and hence, it will contain the English dubbed TV broadcast language track too). The DVD cover art will be a UK exclusive.

Talking of BBFC cuts, Animazing’s extreme hentai La Blue Girl Returns will require 8 minutes of cuts or alterations to pass with an 18 certificate. The BBFC cited the following reasons: “Scenes of sexual assaults which eroticised and/or endorsed the activity, and images encouraging an interest in underage sex.” The BBFC have also let slip that the disc contains a Animazing trailer for the as yet unannounced UK release of hentai OAV Demon Warrior Koji.
