Large Optimum & Ghibli update

Animetion.co.uk have scooped some interesting news from UK anime publishers Optimum; revealing their big plans for a large UK theatrical release of Hayao Miyazaki’s latest movie Howl’s Moving Castle which is set launch on the 30th of September.

Optimum are also said to be planning a “Ghibli Tour” around UK cinemas, although no more information (including dates or specific movies) is currently available; that said, it is also rumoured that there are plans afoot for a “Porco Rosso” UK theatrical release for some point in 2006 (although not necessarily involving Optimum).

Lastly, Animetion.co.uk have posted a comprehensive round up of the UK cinemas “The Cat Returns” is set for, with some screenings scheduled for as far off as August.
