Review: Castle of Cagliostro

Concluding his trio of classic Miyazaki reviews, Martin Butler has sent us his views on the 1979-vintage Castle of Cagliostro.

• “Thanks to a superb job of redubbing and remastering, Castle of Cagliostro still stands out as one of the truly great action/adventure anime films twenty-five years after its initial release. Although it’s not as refined as Miyazaki’s later work you would have some difficulty in finding another hour and a half of outrageous entertainment.”
