BBFC hand Gantz a 15 certificate

Amid much worry, the first volume of MVM’s Gantz (which covers the first four episodes) has passed through the BBFC with a 15 certificate. Many fans had feared the BBFC would take a dim view of Gantz, a particularly violent and confrontational new series from Gonzo (Last Exile, Hellsing).

This news along with the similarly “ultra violent” Elfen Lied also scoring a 15 certificate indicates an increasingly relaxed approach to anime from the BBFC.
