Rapture TV complain to Ofcom about Sky

Those following the progress of Rapture TV (which has promised to bring anime to UK TV) will be interested to read of their recent publicised concerns about Sky TV delaying their return to the UK air-waves. Originally they had planned to relauch Rapture in June but it’s now looking more like a January ’06 return. These worries have led them into lodging a complaint with TV regulator Ofcom, claiming the “unreasonable” delay is costing them up to £1,000 a day.

David Henry, Managing Director of Rapture TV, is quoted as saying “To leave one broadcaster in charge of an EPG is asking for trouble. It’s not an open platform. Sky controls who gets on it, where and how – that’s not an open platform. It’s glaringly obvious to me that not everybody is being treated the same.”
