Anime UK News Forum Round Up

The latest instalment in our weekly overview of what’s been happening on the Anime UK News Forums.

For those looking forward to seeing some decent anime on UK TV, the big news of the week was the premiere of both Wolf’s Rain and Full Metal Alchemist on the newly re-launched Rapture TV. And those willing to discuss both series and Rapture’s screening of them need look no further than “Fullmetal Alchemist (on Rapture) discussion” and “Wolf’s Rain (on Rapture) discussion”.

Elsewhere, the final results of the Anime UK News’ Character Battle 2005 are in, with Bebop’s Spike Spiegel beating out Yomiko Readman and Ichigo Kurosaki for that much coveted first place. Even with the contest over, however, there’s still plenty of anime and manga discussion to get your teeth into, including “Dubbed songs: good or pointless?” a debate as to whether licensing companies should bother redubbing anime songs into English.

Finally, if you’ve been admiring the new site banner, be sure to have a read of “How I make my images…” for some useful information from banner creator and resident artist Jim Tzu.

That’s all for now, see you next week!
