Howl’s Moving Castle loses out at the Annies

Despite being nominated for three awards at the 33rd annual Annie Awards, Hayao Miyazaki’s Howl’s Moving Castle walked away from the ceremony empty handed. The awards were largely dominated by Western productions- especially the UK’s “Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit”.

With these movies again going head-to-head in March, this time for an Oscar, Wallace & Gromit is now the odds on favourite (if it wasn’t already) to claim the “Best Animated Film” award.
