New US DVD releases announced at Otakon 2006

In the US over this weekend the large Otakon anime convention has been in full flow and a few new US anime DVD licences were announced.

Two have come from ADV in fantasy-adventure Utawarerumono (which is an adaptation of a hentai video game with the sex removed) and the action movie Shin Angyo Onshi. For their Western releases Utawarerumono will be retitled Shadow Warrior Chronicles and Shin Angyo Onshi will now be known as Blade of the Phantom Mask.

Rounding up the new licenses is FUNimation who have picked up high school comedy School Rumble.
