Sergeant Frog (Keroro Gunso) picked up by ADV Films

ADV Films have licensed the long running (132 episodes and still running) odd-ball comedy Sergeant Frog (Keroro Gunso) for DVD release in North America.

Sergeant Frog – which is about “a frog-like alien sent from his home planet on a mission to conquer Earth” – features a number of Japanese pop culture and anime parodies and has proven to be a run-away success in Japan; with this in mind, ADV’s English localisation of the show may have to skew the foreign humour towards more “familiar” Western themes.
