New “L” Death Note spin-off on the way

A new spin-off movie from the live action theatrical adaptations of Death Note – centered around the odd but fan-favourite detective “L” – has been publically announced in Japan and is already set for release in 2007.

The two live action Death Note movies; a twisting and thrilling battle of wits between a couple of enigmatic geniuses either side of the law, have proven huge box office success in Asia.
