Shakugan no Shana new series

Two news pieces for Shakugan no Shana:
“The August issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype magazine will confirm on Friday that the new Shana anime project which was revealed last month is the Shakugan no Shana S original video anime (OVA) series. Cast members Rie Kugimiya and Satoshi Hino will reprise their roles as Shana and Yuuji, respectively.

Like the previous Shakugan no Shana anime, the new series is based on Yashichiro Takahashi and Noizi Ito’s fantasy light novels. The first volume will ship in Japan on October 23 on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. The video release will include a tentatively titled “Shakugan no Shanatan” video extra and an audio commentary track, and the first pressing will add a special sleeve illustrated by Ito.

Geneon Entertainment (USA) released the first Shakugan no Shana anime series in North America, and Funimation agreed to reissue the entire series in a DVD box set last September. Viz Media is publishing the fourth volume of Ayato Sasakura’s manga version this month. Neither the movie version nor the second television season (Shakugan no Shana Second) has been released in North America.”

“The August issue of Tokuma Shoten’s Animage magazine will publish a quote from producer Nobuhiro Nakayama regarding the upcoming Shana Project based on Yashichiro Takahashi and Noizi Ito’s fantasy light novels. Nakayama says that he is aiming for the finale of the storyline, but before the staffers can do the third series, they must delve into the background of the characters and their deep relationships. According to Nakayama, that is why they are producing the Shakugan no Shana S original video anime project first.”
