This round of the all interesting Info shared by Beez & MVM talking about their own comapnies and the UK Anime Industry in general.
BEEZ
They are considering bring over Turn A Gundam Anime to the UK and it would be Anime Legend title if they did.
Irresponsible Captain Tylor is a possible future license.
Anime Legends box sets has seen an 200% sales increase since launch!
They say it now possible to release titles in the same year that they get broadcast in Japan.
They have mixed feeling about releasing Gurren Lagann movies in the UK, but would like to release them.
Dennou Coil while popular show at BEEZ seem unlikely for them as they fear it won’t sell enough to be viable license.
They are unsure about Kaiba as being a possible license but believe MANGA UK would love to license Garden on Sinners.
Gundam 00 Blu-Rays are possibility if BANDAI USA themselves release it on Blu-Ray.
BEEZ are looking into seeing if the USA rights for Magical Index and Scientific Railgun include the UK rights.
BEEZ believe there more chance of seeing something more similar to Anime Central than seeing Anime on the BBC.
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya is not coming to DVD anytime soon.
BEEZ are curious to know if they think licensing Japanese live action TV series would be appealing?
They asked if Japan expensive style releases would be welcomed in the UK but they meet with an NO response the attended audience.
Bandai Channel’s for Europe still require more research required before becoming a viable UK platform.
MVM
They have no new License to announce but hope to gain few more licenses for 2011.
Blade of the Immortal will be sold on 3 single disc volumes.
It common for Live Action titles to sell 20,000 copies each while the same effort and cost spent on releasing anime see a return in sales of a few hundred.
Older Series are being released in Fat-packs at a rate of 4 a month.

MVM does have Blu-Ray rights to some titles. But they are having a wait and see approach on Blu-Rays. They seem to put off by the fact that Blu-Rays have to have a minimum print runs of 3000.
MVM they tend to look at older shows as MANGA & BEEZ tend to pick up the newer shows.
MVM mention they can get reasonable deal on older titles.
They won’t be visiting Tenchi series as possible UK license

A french company according to BEEZ are sitting on the UK rights for Dragon Ball Z
Japaneses companies are wary of allowing HD Anime on video download platforms like Apple.
Generally if theirs a UK licensee for a Blu-Ray title then USA release is Region locked.
Picking up old Anime titles can lead to problem in find PAL masters.
