Barbican to Screen Redline

The Barbican Centre will screen the anime Redline on the 22nd February.

As part of the Barbican Centre’s Japanimation season, anime expert and co-author of The Anime Encyclopedia, Helen McCarthy will be introducing Takeshi Koike’s anime Redline.

The movie focuses on Roboworld’s Redline, the most dangerous underground car race in the universe which draws the most elite drivers to its event despite being banned by the military government. Dare-devil driver JP and his ultra-customized ride Transam 20000 will battle against the craziest drivers in the galaxy whilst chasing after his love, and fellow competitor, Sonosee.

The anime has been given a 15 certificate and will be shown 22 February.
