Onigamiden Trailer is Released

A 1-minute trailer for Hirotsugu Kawasaki’s animated feature Onigamiden has been released.

Based on a two-volume novel by Takafumi Takada, the story focuses on a modern-day boy named Jun Tendo who travels back in time to Heian era Kyoto at a time when people and Oni (demons) are engaged in fierce battles.

Hirotsugu Kawasaki has worked on films such as Ghost in the Shell, Metropolis, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Akira and directed the feature Spriggan.

Sony Pictures will release Onigamiden in Japan on April 29.
