DUBLIN, IRELAND – April 11th, 2011 – The Eirtakon committee is proud to announce that none other than Liam O’Brien, the voice actor, director and writer who has worked on almost 200 projects, will be the guest of honour at this year’s convention.

Liam has worked on almost 200 TV shows, films and video games, including Naruto (where he played Gaara of the Sand), Bleach, Ghost in the Shell, Afro Samurai, Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry 4 and Starcraft 2. When he’s not working in the studio, Liam returns to the theatre and Off Broadway. Most recently he has been involved in the world premiere of Sex Parasite (produced by the Mark Taper Forum) and a critically acclaimed production of All My Sons, both of which have been in Los Angeles.

“We’re proud to have Liam over for Eirtakon 2011. He’s an incredibly talented individual and we can’t wait to bring him to The Helix and help us celebrate anime and manga in Ireland,” said Seán Hand, Eirtakon 2011’s Convention Director. “This year is shaping up to be the biggest yet and to have Liam appearing will be really something special. Roll on November!”

Work is already well underway in making sure this year’s event will be bigger than ever before and more enjoyable than ever. The committee is looking forward to announcing more guests over the coming months, in addition to plenty of special events that you just won’t find anywhere else.
