Here’s interesting news for Persona fans and anybody following the Persona 4 anime: Following in the footsteps of Phoenix Wright, the Persona 4 video game is being adapted for the stage.

The play has been given the title “Visualive ‘Persona 4’”. The visualive part of the title refers to the combination of live entertainment performances and special effects and video footage. Voice actor Asanuma Shintaro (Ghost Hound, The Tatami Galaxy) is writing and directing, Wada Shunsuke is in charge of the music and Oku Shutaro is in charge of the video footage that will be used in the play. Cast members announced on the website so far include:

Baba Toru as the protagonist (name changes each day based on fan submissions)

Maeyama Takahisa as Hanamura Yosuke

Tsukui Minami as Satonaka Chie

Yoshiki Risa as Amagi Yukiko

The play will be held at Sunshine Theatre in Ikebukuro from the 15th until the 20th of March next year.
