Karneval Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

Touya Mikanagi’s josei-fantasy manga series Karneval is getting the anime adaptation treatment.

Synopsis

Nai is searching for someone important to him and only has a discarded bracelet as a clue. Through a series of events he ends up setting up shop in a mansion with a thief and pick-pocket named Gareki and the two become targets of the military They also find out that the bracelet that the bracelet is an ID from the country’s most powerful defence force “Circus”.

The news was announced via the obi strip around the ninth volume of the series. Few other details about the anime were released which is where speculation comes in. The manga began serialisation in 2008 and to date there are 9 volumes with 5 drama CDs accompanying the series. Voices for the CD include prominent VA’s with Hiro Shimono (You in Ben-To) voicing Nai, Ono Daisuke (Kakeru in 11eyes) voicing Hirato and Hiroshi Kamiya (Yuzuru in Ange Beats) voicing Gareki. Is it safe to assume that they will take up the same roles with the anime?
