Nemacon closes down forever?
In an annoucement made today on the Nemacon website, it has been made publicly that all future Nemacon have been cancelled.
“We are extremely sorry to inform everyone that NemaCon 2013 and all future NemaCon events have been cancelled. It’s not a decision that was taken lightly by the NemaCon team, but unfortunately we have had no option but to close down the convention today.
Our very small team has become even smaller lately and it has got to the point that we simply do not have enough full time staff with the experience required to organise a convention the size of NemaCon 2013.
If you have already bought a ticket for next year’s con, you will be refunded by Friday, October 5th. The website and our facebook pages will remain active for now and you can still contact us at info@nemacon.com or message us via facebook.
It just remains for us to thank you all so much for your support and kindness over the last three years; NemaCon was the first manga and anime convention in the north east of England and we are extremely proud to have been part of such a friendly, warm community of amazing people who love all the things that we do.
