A Look at The Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme 2014

The line-up of films for the  11th Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme has been announced for its run in 2014 (January 31st to March 27th 2014) and it goes under the title ‘East Side Stories’ and it looks like an unmissable event. The theme for this festival is youth and the films that have been programmed will show a number of titles that portray the young and their struggles in finding meaning and identity. If that sounds serious then don’t fret because there are lots of excellent films including dramas, comedies and anime.

To help you decide if you want to see the titles in the line-up we at Anime UK News have come up with this guide with further details and trailers and some personal recommendations to help you decide which films you might like to see.

The festival runs from January 31st to March 27th 2014. It starts in London at the ICA. From there  it will travel to various cities across the UK including Belfast (Queens Film Theatre), Bristol (Watershed), Dundee (Dundee Contemporary Arts), Edinburgh (Filmhouse), Newcastle Upon Tyne (Tyneside Cinema), Nottingham (Broadway), and Sheffield (Showroom Workstation).

For more information and on the rest of the films and links to the website and further details head over to the full article or hit the Japan Foundation website. Stay connected to AUKN over the next few days for more news on events connected to the festival.
