Start 2014 with Free Film Screenings at the Japan Foundation
Following on from last week’s report and feature on the forthcoming Japan Foundation Touring Film Festival Anime UK News has received exciting information on free screenings of Japanese films which will run from January 16th, 2014 to January 18th, 2014. Here are the details:
Prior to the 11th Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme East Side Stories – Japanese Cinema Depicting the Lives of Youth, the Japan Foundation is pleased to present the following special screenings of contemporary Japanese films this January.
Thursday, 16 January, 6.30pm
Eclair (Dir. Akio Kondo, 2011, 105min, English subtitles)
Friday, 17 January, 6.30pm
Robo-G (Dir. Shinobu Yaguchi, 2012, 111min, English subtitles)
Saturday, 18 January, 2.30pm
Crayon Shin-chan: The Adult Empire Strikes Back (Dir. Keiichi Hara, 2000, 89min, English Subtitles)
and
The Voices of a Distant Star (Dir. Makoto Shinkai, 2002, 25min, English subtitles)
Saturday, 18 January, 5.30pm
Robo-G (Dir. Shinobu Yaguchi, 2012, 111min, English subtitles)
The event is free to attend but booking is essential since it is limited to 50 people per screenin so places must be reserved for the event. You must email your name and the title of the event you would like to attend to event@jpf.org.uk.
