MangaUK hosting Wolf Children watch-athon on Wednesday
Recently, Manga Entertainment UK has held a series of social media events to coincide with the release of major movies, such as with Naruto Shippuden The Movie: The Will of Fire and K-ON! The Movie called “Watch-a-thons”, there fans are encouraged to all watch the same movie at the same time and post their commentary as they watch on Twitter using a special hashtag.
With the 23rd December release of the critically acclaimed Wolf Children, which was called the best animated movie of 2013 by The Guardian, now that the Christmas madness has died down, MangaUK have announced that they will be hosting such an event for Mamoru Hosoda’s masterpiece this Wednesday. From 7pm on Wednesday, fans are encouraged to talk about the movie using the #WolfChildren hashtag before they will be instructed to begin watching at 7:30pm. During the event there will also be giveaways, such as some limited edition and very rare theatrical posters! All you need to take part is a copy of the movie on DVD or Blu-ray and a Twitter account!
