Details and Theatrical Trailer for Live-Action Fatal Frame
The full trailer for the live-action film adaptation of Fatal Frame has been released online by MAiDiGitv and details are now widely available with the film’s poster which can be seen below.
The title for the film in Japan is Zero (零 ゼロ) and the movie is part of a multimedia project coupled with a release for a new Wii-U game. The film has been directed by Mari Asato, a female director with a great understanding and passion for J-horror as shown through strong films like Bilocation (2014) and Ju-on: Black Ghost (2009). As well as directing, she has also adapted the script which has its source in a novelisation of the game by Eiji Ohtsuka, creator of the macabre MPD-Psycho and blackly humorous Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service.
The film is due for a release on September 26th. For more information on the film, the game, plus the trailer, head on over to the news forum.
