Anime Limited Delays Cowboy Bebop Ultimate Edition
Those hoping to spend their holidays in the company of space cowboys may have to rethink their festive plans – as Anime Limited have delayed their upcoming Cowboy Bebop Ultimate Edition, according to emails sent to customers and verified by Anime UK News. Previously scheduled for 10th December, orders from Anime Limited’s online store will no longer arrive in time for Christmas.
The reason for this delay, is that certain components of the Ultimate Edition have been manufactured in Eastern Europe, with their estimated delivery being postponed due to adverse weather conditions in the region. Anime Limited have now stated their intention for orders to be dispatched during the week between Christmas and New Year at the earliest. While the retailer Zavvi are currently listing the release as 24 December 2018 (which was adjusted prior to this news for reasons unknown), orders are unlikely to be fulfilled by this date given Anime Limited’s statement on the matter.
The full email sent to customers of Anime Limited’s online store, is as follows:
“Originally our intention was to be able to have this product shipped to you during the week commencing 17th December, in time for Christmas delivery. However I regret to inform you we have just received news that this will now not be possible.
To give you an overview as to what has occurred, to create this unique product it involved select elements being manufactured outside of the United Kingdom. All units of the product that have been produced are currently in transit to the UK – so there’s not an issue regarding the manufacturing of the product itself. However due to extreme adverse weather conditions in eastern Europe, the delivery time has been greatly impacted and as a result we have now been informed the physical product itself will not be arriving in the UK until just after Christmas.
By the time stock arrives at our warehouse, at the absolute earliest the product is now expected to ship between the Christmas and New Year time period. Obviously we’ll update as we hear any more definitive information.
(We will note that this is impacting all orders placed at Zavvi.com as well – we assume they will be contacting their own customers accordingly about this.)On behalf of everyone at AllTheAnime / Anime Ltd, we like to offer our sincerest apologies for this. We have been working our hardest to see if there was any way to get around this and have delivery in time for Christmas, but unfortunately this proved impossible. This is why we wanted to let you know as soon as possible today about the delay, as we know it’s a possibility this product may been intended as a gift for the holidays.”
