Manga Entertainment UK Reveals Hellsing Ultimate Blu-ray, OVERLORD II Standard Blu-ray, Plus More
UK distributor Manga Entertainment have officially revealed their plans for the month of July 2019 with various anime now listed over on the online retailer Amazon.
They have officially confirmed plans to release My Hero Academia Season 1 on 29th May 2019 which you can find more information in our previous article here.
In the meantime, let’s take a look at what Manga has in store!
The first anime we want to note first is Hellsing Ultimate. The first eight episodes of the OVA series was released half a decade ago by the distributor, however, due to licensing reasons with Funimation, those sets eventually went out of print.
But today, it has returned as a complete collection box set for both Blu-ray & DVD. What’s special about this particular release is that it will also include episodes 9 & 10 that were never previously released (it had been licensed but fell into limbo as soon as the Funimation partnership ended). Both the English & Japanese audio with English subtitles will also be included as well as any on-disc content used in the previous sets.
The complete collection will be available on 1st July 2019, and listings are available on Amazon which you can view here.
Next, we have OVERLORD II. The distributor released a limited edition Blu-ray & DVD combo pack of the second season last February and thanks to a few followers who owned the box set, noticed that the Blu-ray artwork used for the case resembled the standard edition rather than the limited edition, hinting at a potential re-release later down the line.
And that turned out to be true, as a standard edition Blu-ray & DVD are coming soon. Both the English & Japanese audio with English subtitles will also be included as well as any on-disc content used in the previous set.
The standard edition sets will be available on 1st July 2019, and currently, the Blu-ray listing is available on Amazon which you can view here.
Black Clover Season 1 Part 3, covering episodes 20-29, is set for 1st July 2019. The shonen jump series is now half-way through the first season’s home video schedule for the UK & Ireland. Both the English & Japanese audio with English subtitles will also be included. You can view the Amazon listings here.
DARLING in the FRANXX Part 2, covering episodes 13-24, is set for 22nd July 2019. The second half of the original anime series from studio CloverWorks and Trigger wraps up the story. Both the English & Japanese audio with English subtitles will also be included. You can view the Amazon listings here.
Naruto Shippuden is almost completely finished for the UK & Ireland with Box 37, covering episodes 473-486, which is set for 15th July 2019. The shonen jump series reached 500 episodes before passing the torch to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and as such, there is one more box set to be released until then. Both the English & Japanese audio with English subtitles will also be included. You can view the Amazon listing here.
That currently wraps up the latest listings under the distributor in the meantime. You can find out more information on Manga Entertainment over on their social media and official website.
