A trailer for the net anime adaptation of the school otaku comedy series Ebiten has been released by Kadokawa giving anime fans a taste of the antics in store.



Synopsis

Noya Itsuki has started his school year at Ebisugawa High School. Since he was always been fascinated by space, he decides to join the astronomy club: “Tenmon-bu”. Unfortunately he walks into the all girls otaku club which is also known as “Tenmon-bu” but written with different kanji. Noya has yet to realise that the club is more interested in anime than astronomy and finds himself surrounded by “fujoshi” who will make his life complicated.

Ebiten: Kouritsu Ebi Sugawa Koukou Tenmonbu is illustrated by Kira Inugami and written by SCA-ji. It began life in Kadokawa’s Comp Ace magazine back in 2008. Since then there have been three books compiled.

VA’s involved in the project have been named: Noya is voiced by Mariya Ise (Ringo Noyamano in Air Gear), Kana Asumi (Miya in Amagami SS+) voices club troublemaker Kyōko while Asuka Nishi (Ursula in Bodacious Space Pirates) voices Hakata Kanamori. Ebiten The anime is being handled by AIC. The anime will premiere via niconico on the 14th of July.
