With Paprika fast approaching its limited theatrical run in the US, director Satoshi Kon has sat down with the New York Times to discuss the movie and its subversive pscyhological themes. The aptly titled “Anime Dreams, Transformed Into Nightmares” is an interesting and rare peek into the thoughts of one of Japanese leading anime directors.

TokyoPop have published an interview with auteur anime director Satoshi Kon, looking at his latest movie, Paprika, as well as the rest of his career to date; his beginnings as a manga-ka, his influences and plans for the future.

According to Play.com, Sony Pictures have again pushed back the UK DVD release of Satoshi “Perfect Blue” Kon’s latest movie Paprika – it’s now dated as 3rd September, 2007.
