UK’s first ever anime TV channel to launch with FMA, Bebop

As was expected, AnimeCentral officially unveiled itself this morning as the UK’s first ever dedicated anime TV channel. The news was unveiled at AmeCon, and our forum user hopeful_monster was in attendence to report all the juicy details.

Essentially, the channel will launch (presumably on Sky Digital) in September and broadcast from 9PM until 6AM. It will be showing Gundam Seed, Fullmetal Alchemist, Planetes, Cowboy Bebop, .hack //SIGN, Wolf’s Rain and even some Transformers.

We’ve not yet had any official word from AnimeCentral, though their official website was launched yesterday at AnimeCentral.com. Expect the full press release as and when it’s released.
