Blade of the Immortal ends and a successsor is in planning

The end for Blade of the Immortal is coming out this month in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine and the magazine also revealed that Samura is already planning a new series to be released in mid-2013.

Blade of the Immortal is finishing after 19 years of Serialisation. The series won an Excellence Prize at the 1997 Japan Media Arts Festival and the Eisner Award in 2000 for Best Edition of Foreign Material.
