Kick-Heart at the BFI London Film Festival
The BFI released the line-up for next month’s London Film Festival and it includes the anime Kick-Heart which will be played as part of a series of short films grouped together as part of the Love Will Conquer All programme.
Kick-Heart is famous for being the first anime successfully funded through Kickstarter. It was directed by Masaaki Yuasa (The Tatami Galaxy, Mind Game) and animated by Production I.G.
As well as Kick-Heart, there are three excellent live-action Japanese films playing at the festival including Why Don’t You Play in Hell?, Like Father, Like Son and The Great Passage.
