Tokyo Ghoul TV Spot

A TV spot for the second season of Tokyo Ghoul has been released onto the internet.

Synopsis

In an alternative reality Tokyo is haunted by “ghouls” who devour humans. The government has taken steps to contain these creatures but the people still live in fear of these mysterious creatures who can blend in with normal society. When a college student named Kaneki encounters a girl named Rize, his life takes a very, very deadly turn and he finds himself turning into a ghoul.

The second season goes under the name Tokyo Ghoul √A and continues to adapt Sui Ishida’s long-running manga which began life in Weekly Young Jump in 2011.

Shuhei Morita, director of the first season of Tokyo Ghoul and the Oscar-nominated director of “Possessions,” a short in the omnibus film Short Peace (2013), is back in the director’s chair and the writer of the first season, Chuuji Mikasano, is also returning. Although Mikasano is credited with series composition, Sui Ishida is listed as the creator of the original story concept for the second season.

We can find out what effect Ishida has on the anime and if Ken Kaneki can deal with his massive changes next month. The second season of Tokyo Ghoul will be broadcast on January 8. Find out what other shows are going to be airing in the Winter 2015 season with Part One and Part Two of AUKN’s Winter Anime guides, both of which are constantly updated with images and trailers.
