Manga Animatsu Reveal Shin Godzilla UK Home Video Release Details
Don’t run from Godzilla this time around, as Manga have revealed some interesting info for the upcoming UK home video release.
Shin Godzilla has grabbed the attention of UK fans since its unveiling and even the limited theatrical release that it received back in August 2017. Today, distributor Manga Animatsu have revealed some new information regarding the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release for the film currently slated for 4th December 2017.
Both formats will receive 2 different discs:
The Original Japanese version – with Japanese audio with English subtitles and Japanese on-screen text.
The Funimation English version – with the Funimation English dub and localised on-screen text.
This is interesting because there had been a spark of conversation over the handling of the on-screen text that displays throughout the film so it is interesting to see that Manga have stepped in and provided some extra effort to give this release the best it can be for the fans. In addition the pricing for the release is at £19.99 SRP for Blu-ray and £17.99 SRP for DVD.
Bonus features were also listed, including over an hour of content like ‘Pre-Visuals & Outtakes’, a ‘Pre-Visual Reel’, and ‘Making VFX – Shin Godzilla Visual Effects Breakdown’.
When a massive, gilled monster emerges from the deep and tears through the city, the government scrambles to save its citizens. A rag-tag team of volunteers cuts through a web of red tape to uncover the monster’s weakness and its mysterious ties to a foreign superpower. But time is not on their side—the greatest catastrophe to ever befall the world is about to evolve right before their very eyes.
