DanMachi, Goblin Slayer Receive New Anime Projects

Over in Japan they have revealed some exciting news for the fans attending the GA Bunko 2018 Happyō Stage event at the Wonder Festival, and we are very excited to report this news to the fans!


Goblin Slayer

The light novel series written by Kumo Kagyu will be receiving an anime adaptation from studio WHITE FOX (Re:ZERO, Steins;Gate 0) set for broadcast later into 2018. The Japanese cast from the Drama CD adaptation will return to reprise their roles for the upcoming anime series.

  • Maaya Uchida (Killing Bites) as Guild Girl
  • Nao Tōyama (Beatless) as High Elf Archer

  • Yōko Hikasa (High School DxD) as Witch
  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Re:ZERO) as Spearman
  • Yūichi Nakamura (Fairy Tail) as Dwarf Shaman
  • Yuka Iguchi (Monogatari series) as Cow Girl

Yen Press have licensed the original light novel source material, the manga adaptation and also the Year One prequel for digital and print release.


Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

DanMachi fans have two special announcements revealed at the event. The light novel series written by Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda will be receiving a second season and also a feature-length film.

Some details were revealed about the film. It will have a completely new scenario written by Fujino Ōmori himself and the main title is called Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon -Arrow of the Orion-. More information for both anime projects will be revealed soon.

Yen Press have licensed the original light novel source material, the manga adaptation and also the spin-off series Sword Oratoria for digital and print release. The first season is available to stream on both Crunchyroll (Japanese) and HIDIVE (English & Japanese), and the spin-off series Sword Oratoria is available to stream on HIDIVE (Japanese). Sentai Filmworks have the license for both shows in North America (plus the Season 1 OVA which is coming soon) while Manga Animatsu have the rights to the first season with MVM Entertainment set to release Sword Oratoria later in 2018 for the United Kingdom.
