PUNCH LINE game heads west for PlayStation 4 & Vita this Summer

Over a year ago there were a bunch of retail listings that leaked a number of Japanese games that would be released for the west – and one of them is now finally announced.

UK publisher PQube will be releasing the PUNCH LINE video game for PlayStation 4 & PlayStation Vita this Summer in both retail and digital distribution. The game released in Japan back in April 2016 by 5pb. Both the anime and video game of PUNCH LINE were written by Kotaro Uchikoshi, the creator of the Infinity series and the Zero Escape series.

The news came from two different sources; one through ResetERA user Oldmario for spotting the advertisement on the Gal*Gun 2 PS4 copies, and another through Gematsu spotting Gamestop Ireland listing the formats on their webstore.

Game Synopsis:

If he sees underwear, humanity will be destroyed! Punch Line is the newest visual novel adventure from the creators of Zero Escape and the Science Adventure series! Play as Yuuta Iridatsu, a high school student who faints at the sight of panties. After being stuck in ghost form, it’s up to you to help Yuuta get back into his body and solve the mystery of *why* he causes an asteroid to destroy the earth every time he gets too excited by his underwear-sighting!

Promotional Material:

PQube have yet to release any official trailers for now but there are a couple Japanese clips for those interested! Note that the clips may contain content not safe for work.

The PUNCH LINE anime series is available to own on Blu-ray & DVD from Animatsu, and also available to stream legally through Crunchyroll and HIDIVE.
