MVM Entertainment Reveals Their Summer 2018 Release Slate

UPDATE #3 (13th June): Asterisk War release plans updated + Second batch of titles added + new date for Flip Flappers BD + one new title added!

Distributor MVM have been prepping their MCM Comic Con weekend with six new announcements to share during the convention and it just happens to be the time where they also unveil their Summer line-up of releases.

These titles were added from their official store so you can pre-order them right now if you wish. Other retailers will update as soon as they can. Don’t worry these won’t spoil the new announcements aside from one of them which got revealed by MCM’s anime screening from the PopAsia Stage scheduling (whoops).

As of the writing of the article so far only July through to early October is up but we have also added the June titles for a quick recap, expect more to follow soon.

Raul Chaser never wanted to work in retail, but when the war against the Demons ended unexpectedly, the Hero Training Program he was in shut down. But although combat-trained Raul may feel out of place dealing with customers in a department store instead of dealing out death with hardened steel, his newest co-worker’s culture shock is even worse. While Fino Bloodstone is ready, eager, and willing to please, she’s also the daughter of the now-deceased Demon King!

Not only are her social skills a little challenged, but it’s going to be up to Raul and the staff to teach her the finer points of the human concept of a “pleasant shopping experience”… not to mention when it’s proper to wear what kind of clothes and whose bed you can sleep in. And they’ll have to do it quick, because there’s a sinister major retail chain moving into the area with plans for global domination.

Tomoki’s life was normal until a wish-granting angelic android named Ikaros fell from the sky and started calling him master! Of course, thanks to his raging teenage hormones, most of Tomoki’s wishes have something to do with panties. And that makes things pretty complicated, because one simple wish can lead to a rampaging robot made out of frilly undergarments or turn bloomers into bombs capable of blowing up entire neighborhoods!

If Tomoki doesn’t learn to control his impulses around Ikaros and be more careful with his wishes, the chaos will only get crazier. Luckily, even with such a dirty mind, Tomoki’s heart is in the right place. His hands, however, are a completely different story.

That’s all of the titles shown on the distributor’s retail pages thus far!

A few interesting notes to point out. Grimoire of Zero was released as a Blu-ray only title and yet they’re including DVDs into the mix (Sword Oratoria on the other hand was released with DVDs to help fans match their sets with the main DanMachi series). The Asterisk War is the one new license announcement for this release slate and it’s worth pointing out that currently there have been no Blu-ray releases in Australia at all (it was released as a DVD only title).

Stay tuned for more news and we’ll likely update this article when more listings appear. In the meantime stay tuned for our MVM round-up announcements article this MCM weekend!
