Anime Limited News Round-up: Multiple Cover Artwork revealed, ME!ME!ME! at London MCM and More
Distributor Anime Limited have quietly revealed some additional updates over the past few weeks. As we have entered the final quarter of the year more titles are receiving some artwork as well as many more bits and pieces revealed. We’re here to recap everything so that you are up-to-date on what is going on from the distributor. MCM London Comic Con is also coming up soon so expect Anime Ltd to have some more news in the weeks to come.
Early Bird Deal for 5th-11th October:
March comes in like a Lion Season 1 Part 1 Collector’s Edition Blu-ray with Shop Exclusive A2 Poster (whilst stock lasts) is the latest early bird deal available to order right now. The deal will conclude at the end of Thursday 11th October. The set will be released on Monday 29th October 2018.
MCM London: Guest of Honour
Recently Anime Limited have announced their latest award for MCM Guest of Honour, in which a notable figure from the Japanese anime industry will attend MCM and take part in their very special panel and signings and more!
Their guest of honour for October 2018 will be Hibiki Yoshizaki. He is known for directing the Teddyloid music videos from the Japanese Animator Expo shorts; GIRL, ME!ME!ME!, and ME!ME!ME! CHRONIC, as well as working at Studio Khara on projects such as Evangelion (more specifically, the production design and directing the onscreen monitor graphics for Evangelion: 3.0), The Dragon Dentist, and also Hikaru Utada’s music video for Sakura Nagashi.
Hibiki Yoshizaki’s panel will be taking place on the Centre Stage on Saturday 27th October at 3pm. There will also be 2 free signing sessions across the MCM weekend (Saturday & Sunday), and you can bring one item with you to sign. If you don’t have anything to bring they will also provide a special signing card for you for free for him to sign.
MCM London: ME!ME!ME! Exhibition
In addition to the director’s attendance, there will also be a special exhibition dedicated to ME!ME!ME! for the first time outside Japan, in conjunction with Studio Khara.
The exhibition will include artwork of the short on display as well as an opportunity to watch the short on-screen. Please be advised that ME!ME!ME! does contain content that is not be suitable for younger audiences, so it is age restricted to attendants at the age of 18 and over. You will be required to bring ID if you want to attend, but overall the exhibition will be free to check out as part of your admission to MCM.

Gundam: Reconguista in G

A re-release of the 2014 Gundam series from studio Sunrise. The collector’s edition released back in 2016 has been out of print for many months. Available in Japanese audio with English & French subtitles starting Monday 12th November 2018.
Junjo Romantica Season 1

The 2008 series from studio Deen is making its way to the UK on Blu-ray as a standard release. Available in Japanese audio with English subtitles starting Monday 29th October 2018.
Junjo Romantica Season 2
Standard Edition Blu-ray
In addition to the first season, the second season of the 2008 series from studio Deen is also making its way to the UK on Blu-ray as a standard release. Available in Japanese audio with English subtitles starting Monday 19th November 2018.
Love Live! Sunshine Season 1

The 2016 series from studio Sunrise is getting re-released on Blu-ray after the 500 unit collector’s edition officially sold out earlier this year. Available in English & Japanese audio with English subtitles starting Monday 26th November 2018.
Lucky Star
Standard Edition Blu-ray
The classic 2007 comedy series from studio Kyoto Animation is coming back once again with a Blu-ray re-release after its collector’s edition sold out many months ago. Available in English & Japanese audio with English subtitles starting Monday 29th October 2018.

As mentioned earlier, the first part of the first season from the 2016 series from studio SHAFT is coming to Blu-ray in a special collector’s edition set. Included with this release are episodes 1-11 across 3 Blu-ray discs and a 40 page booklet housed in a rigid box and digipack. Available in English & Japanese audio with English subtitles starting Monday 29th October 2018.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky

The 2016 compilation film of the first ONA series is making its way to the UK in the traditional Gundam UK collector’s packaging. Included with this release is the film on Blu-ray, 5 artcards and a poster housed in a rigid box. Available in English & Japanese audio with English subtitles starting Monday 19th November 2018.
The Testament of Sister New Devil Burst
Collector’s Edition Blu-ray
The second season of the ecchi series from studio Production IMS aired in 2015 and is finally making its way to the UK. Funimation initially delayed the series but now an official date is revealed for both UK & US. Included with this release are episodes 1-10 & OVA across 2 Blu-ray discs and a booklet housed in a rigid box and digipack. Available in English & Japanese audio with English subtitles starting Monday 29th October 2018.
