Third Window Films Release Mega-hit Zombie Film “One Cut of the Dead” in Cinemas and on Blu-Ray/DVD in January 2019

Third Window Films are bringing low-budget zombie film One Cut of the Dead to UK screens both big and small in 2019! This title has been causing a storm throughout 2018 after garnering awards and praise at festivals around the world. Described as, a one-in-a-million success, this is a “workshop” film project made with non-professional actors and a budget of just $27,000. Since then it has grossed $30 million domestically despite opening on just 2 screens and with an advertising budget of $0 and it has earned 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

The film is the real deal, a fun and messy zombie film filled with breathtaking sequences of action as well as a love of the horror genre and so much more. There will soon be many ways to experience this as Third Window Films will be giving it a big theatrical and home format release.

Synopsis
ONE CUT OF THE DEAD opens in a run-down, abandoned warehouse where a film crew are making a zombie film…Yet, this is no ordinary warehouse. It’s been said that it’s a site where military experiments took place…
Out of nowhere, real zombies arrive and terrorise the crew!

This may sound like a the plot of a clichéd zombie film, but One Cut of the Dead is something completely different! Starting off with a non-stop one-take 37 minute shot, the film then completely switches direction and turns the zombie genre completely upside down into a charming, audience-friendly comedy!

Young director Shinichiro Ueda and his cast of non-professionals have created something fresh and entertaining which has become both a massive hit not just in Japan, but across the world!
