Manga Entertainment Reveals First Batch of Q1 2021 Anime Releases – Fruits Basket, My Hero Academia, No Guns Life & More

UK distributor Manga Entertainment has today announced the first batch of upcoming releases for the first quarter of 2021, which covers January to March. Some of the titles mentioned were originally part of the 2020 slate but had been pushed back due to various issues.

The release dates below are not finalised either as last minute changes can occur.

4th January:

Bungo Stray Dogs Seasons 1 & 2 will be available on Blu-ray (£49.99 SRP) and DVD (£39.99 SRP). The series has already been rated by the BBFC with an 18 for Season 1 and 15 for Season 2.

11th January:

Golden Kamuy Season 2 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and DVD (£24.99 SRP).

18th January:

Hetalia World Party Seasons 5 & 6 will be available on DVD (£24.99 SRP). This collection covers Hetalia: The Beautiful World and Hetalia: The World Twinkle. The collection has already been rated by the BBFC with a 12.

Hunter x Hunter Set 2 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP). This set covers episodes 27 to 58 of the long-running anime series.

25th January:

Black Clover Season 2 will receive a complete season collection on Blu-ray (£49.99 SRP) and DVD (£39.99 SRP). This season covers episodes 52 to 102 of the long-running anime series still simulcasting on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

Dragon Ball Z Season 4 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and as a limited edition Amazon exclusive steelbook (£42.99 SRP) using the 30th Anniversary 4:3 transfer.

Fairy Tail Collection 9 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and DVD (£29.99 SRP). This collection covers episodes 188 to 212 of the long-running anime series.

Fairy Tail: Final Season Part 3 (aka Fairy Tail Part 25) will be available on Blu-ray (£34.99 SRP) and DVD (£24.99 SRP). This collection covers episodes 304 to 316 (aka episodes 27 to 39 of the 2018 anime series).

1st February:

Fruits Basket Season 2 Part 1 will be available on Blu-ray (£29.99 SRP), DVD (£24.99 SRP) and as a limited edition Blu-ray & DVD box set (£64.99 SRP). This part covers episodes 1 to 13 (aka 26 to 33) of the 2019 adaptation. The limited edition includes a rigid box to house all five parts of the 2019 anime series as well as Snake & Horse Zodiac Figures and a few Art Cards.

8th February:

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 3 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and DVD (£24.99 SRP). The series has already been rated by the BBFC with a 15.

No Guns Life Season 1 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP).

15th February:

Fairy Tail Collection 10 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and DVD (£29.99 SRP). This collection covers episodes 213 to 239 of the long-running anime series.

HUMAN LOST will be available on Blu-ray (£17.99 SRP) and DVD (£12.99 SRP).

22nd February:

Dragon Ball Z Season 5 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and as a limited edition Amazon exclusive steelbook (£42.99 SRP) using the 30th Anniversary 4:3 transfer.

1st March:

Fairy Tail Collection 11 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and DVD (£29.99 SRP). This collection covers episodes 240 to 265 of the long-running anime series.

8th March:

My Hero Academia Season 4 Part 2 will be available on Blu-ray (£29.99 SRP), DVD (£24.99 SRP) and as a limited edition Blu-ray & DVD box set (£64.99 SRP). This part covers episodes 14 to 25 (aka 77 to 88). The limited edition includes a rigid box to house both parts of the fourth season with more items not yet specified.

15th March:

Hunter x Hunter Set 3 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP). This set covers episodes 59 to 88 of the long-running anime series.

22nd March:

Dragon Ball Z Season 6 will be available on Blu-ray (£39.99 SRP) and as a limited edition Amazon exclusive steelbook (£42.99 SRP) using the 30th Anniversary 4:3 transfer.

Fruits Basket Season 2 Part 2 will be available on Blu-ray (£29.99 SRP), DVD (£24.99 SRP) and as a limited edition Blu-ray & DVD box set (£64.99 SRP). This part covers episodes 14 to 25 (aka 34 to 50) of the 2019 adaptation. The limited edition details is not yet specified but is expected to match Season 1’s layout.

29th March:

Fairy Tail: Final Season Part 4 (aka Fairy Tail Part 26) will be available on Blu-ray (£34.99 SRP) and DVD (£24.99 SRP). This collection covers episodes 317 to 328 (aka episodes 40 to 51 of the 2018 anime series).

That’s the current release slate as it stands for the time being, but more will be announced over the coming weeks to months from the distributor so stay tuned.
