Moyoco Anno seeks crowdfunding for Ochibi-san short film

Moyoco Anno has launched an Indiegogo campaign to crowdfund the making of a short film based her manga The Diary of Ochibi-san.

The stop-motion animated film is made as part of the Japan Animator Expo project lead by Moyoco’s husband Hideaki Anno, the creator of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Hideaki’s Studio Khara and media company Dwango plan to make one new short a week, planning a total of 30 shorts.

The campaign plans to raise $3,000 by 7th February 2015. Amongst the rewards given there include online screenings of the completed short, digital and physical copies of the original manga, storyboards and props used in the film.
