Dog Days commissioned for third series

The fantasy kemono anime series Dog Days has been recommissioned for a third season. Takuya Fujima, who illustrates the manga adaptation of the series, said at a special promotional event the season had been given the green light.

The series is set in the fantasy world of Flonyard, inhabited by various animal-people, in which the various animal kingdoms fight battles amongst each other as a form of income and sporting entertainment. The canine Biscotti Republic lead by Princess Millhiore has been losing badly to the feline Galette Lion Dominion lead by Princess Leonmichelli. In order to win, Biscotti summons a hero from Earth: an athletic half-Japanese half-Cornish 13-year-old boy called Sink Izumi.

The first two seasons have been streamed on Crunchyroll.
