Durarara!! Heads to VICELAND UK Television on 20th November

Mentioned at MCM London Comic Con we now know exactly when the next anime title will air on UKTV!

Not long after MCM London Comic Con had concluded last October, distributor Anime Limited revealed that two more shows will be airing on the UK television channel VICELAND. Turns out one of them is actually arriving sooner than we had reported previously.

Durarara!! will be the next title to be airing on the service after Kill la Kill. The first season will begin on 20th November 2017 at 23:30 (11:30pm) in English audio. If it’s anything like the other titles that were added in the past, then we should expect 2 episodes to be airing every weekday around the same timeframe.

Durarara!! joins Cowboy Bebop, Eureka Seven, Samurai Champloo, Tokyo Ghoul and a couple films like Perfect Blue to be airing on VICELAND throughout the past couple of months. It is unknown whether the OVA episodes will be part of the broadcast line-up but we’ll know soon enough once the series begins airing.

Among the strange and dangerous mysteries in Ikebukuro one stands out: the urban myth of the Black Rider. Known as a headless monster known to roam the streets on the back of a motorcycle.

High School student Mikado Ryugamine moves to this downtown area of Tokyo, eager to experience the wonders of the big city. With best friend Masaomi as his guide, Mikado soon finds that witnessing the Black Rider was merely the beginning of a kaleidoscope of crazy encounters beyond his wildest dreams.

Durarara!! is available on Blu-ray and DVD from distributor Anime Limited. The second season Durarara!!x2 is also licensed by the same distributor, with Arc 1: Shou currently available on Blu-ray and DVD.

Anime UK News have reviewed the series and even covered the light novel translation that Yen Press are distributing if you are interested to know more about the franchise!
